Well...today was a failure. I had to buy flea medication for the dog. She was covered with fleas and it really couldn't wait until next week. But that was all. I didn't eat out at all today. Should be good for the rest of the week.

Would it be more realistic to self-impose a daily spending limit that would still incenticize you to avoid unnecessary spending but also serve to motivate you not to go crazy?
What would that daily number be if you too what you think is a reasonable and doable monthly expense goal and divided it by 30?

The list of little things you might have spent on could be huge. If you were tempted to buy anything and did not, then you met the enemy and came away victorious. So tell us what flitted across your mind that you could have bought, but you did not. The achievement is the important thing, not the fact that you noticed today that your dog had fleas. Own what went right! Come'on, you know this!

And don't buy the cheapest flea meds out there - they don't work. Advantage, Comfortis, Frontline all ok, be sure you use it every month.
