Ate Out Last Night

August 23rd, 2012 at 03:21 pm

Well...after a long streak of not eating out DD and I ate Mexican last night. It was quite good. Abstaining from it for so long only made it that much better. Now to build another streak!

We borrowed my mom's vacuum last night since we don't have one. Most of our floors are hardwood so I haven't worked it into the budget to buy one. My mom has a dyson. The suction on that thing is amazing! DD vacuumed the entire house, even the hardwood floors and the stairs. The house is looking so much better. I like coming home to a clean house. I still have the rest of the bathroom and my bedroom to clean. Will tackle the bathroom this weekend. Not sure about the bedroom.

No eating out: 21/22 (26/27 total)
Tracking Food: no 9/22
NSD: 5/22

We bought a brand-new Dyson on ebay several years ago. That might be an option for you.

I own a dyson, purchased at Kohl's years ago with a 30% off and then Kohl's Cash on top of it. Definitely worth it if you can save up for one, or buy on ebay like EMC.

I'd check Amazon.com as well to compare prices. I've seen some that are refurbished. Maybe you could save $1 towards the vacuum for everday you don't eat out. You could join Swagbucks (link on my sidebar) to earn free Amazon gift cards, too.

And eating out once a month, is not a bad thing if you can afford it. So proud of you!!

Clean house feels warm & welcoming. Hardwood flrs. react well to Swiffer, put on music and dance your way around daily, it doubles as exercise for WW program.

What's with the bedrm? Can you make a list of what bothers you most? I suggest make up the bed as soon as you finish your personal hygiene each and every AM. 28 days of conscious actions turns it into a habit. If the drawers are over flowing, don't open and shut easily, tackle one drawer only each session to avoid feeling overwhelmed. Only leave the items you wear regularly. Leave space for stuff still in the laundry or elsewhere. Make room for new stuff to come in the future.

If there are too many clothes for the size of the closet, bag up what doesn't fit or flatter you. Trash anything ripped, wrecked or stained. Box anything you haven't worn in more than a year. Sell books and take old magazines to an Emergency Rm. People will be so grateful for your generosity. [black out your names/address]

That bedrm will be a haven for you to enjoy.
