Spendy Day Already

August 8th, 2012 at 04:42 pm

It is hardly even noon and I have already spent alot of money. My dd had a dr apointment...$35 Prescription...$15. Then we took the newest puppy to get booster shots...%73. Still have to get gas and hairbows for DD. We tried to get it while we were out but the gas station had run out of gas.

Yesterday was a NSD. The first in a while.

I renewed my personal loan today and got an extra %500. This is the amount that I would be short for my expenses later this month. It didn't affect my payment at all.

Almost went to BK for breakfast this morning. But came home and made pancakes. I have done real well on this challenge. Haven't eaten out yet.

No Eating out: 7/7 (12/12 total)
Tracking food: 7/7
NSD: 2/7

What does it mean to renew a personal loan? Do you have a bank line of credit or something?

Why would someone who doesn't pay her own housing costs get a new puppy??

I think the issue here is WANTS vs. NEEDS. Shelter is a need. A puppy, no matter how cute, is a want.

Maggie...I thought you had given up on me! The puppy is my dd. she will be paying me back for the vet visit.

Joan...I have a personal loan that I was able to renegotiate and get more money out of it.

It's not a payday loan, is it NGG? I hope not.

You are doing great on the no eating out! Keep it up. Smile

If your daughter can afford a pet, then she can afford to contribute to the cost of her own school clothes. Again, it's all about needs versus wants.

It's not unusual or cruel to expect teenage children to start contributing to their own expenses. In fact, it's good parenting that will teach them to be self-sufficient as adults.

No it is not a payday loan. Those are very dangerous.

Good job on eating at home. I agree with Maggie about a new pet when someone else pays housing costs and has to contribute to your daughters cheerleading and school clothes etc. She is old enough to be contributing to the household. She will be in the same spot you are in when she's an adult and out on her own. When you are in such great need and others pay your bills you sometimes have to simply go without a whole lot of things! I'm not trying to be ugly or mean, just saying how I see it.
