Today was another NSD. In fact I didn't leave the house at all. Tomorrow I will need to get milk and orange juice.
My sister is giving me $200 toward DD school clothes. I am looking good for the 10th. We are waiting for that date because it is a sales tax holiday. She doesn't start school until August 17. If my mom can give me some money toward the clothes than I will be sitting pretty. I really need a couple new bras and an internet site my sister sent me is having a sale. Although I have the money in my account I can't get them because I will be short on the 10th.
Really looking forward to the week ahead. I am in a good place regarding my diet and budget. I am eager to do well on the no eating out challenge. That will really help my budget.

Having recently blogged about her expenditures which included cigarettes and fast food (when she had plenty of groceries), I think a big REALITY CHECK is needed if she accepts clothing money from her sister and her mother who, as we were previously told, was recently widowed and recently went through chemo and radiation treatment. This blogger is a grown woman and for her to accept money from her mother under these conditions(and she has, for years) is shameful.

Overnight. She has seen the need for a
Chang which is why she opened her budget to us for help and
Advice. Criticizing her for her choices does nothing but to discourage. What she needs is encouragement and a pat on the back for what she is doing now. I apologize for all the weird capitals .. Writing on a
Train.
NGG - way to go on the NSD! I understand needing new bras. My newest bra was three years old ... I caught a
Good sale At lane Bryant this summer so now have bras that actually fit and support again! What a relief!

@ Maggie, it isn't uncommon for grandparents to help out with grandkids' expenditures. My husband is college educated and has a white collar job. He makes decent money. We are a large family and traditional in that I stay home. Our daughtes are very talented dancers who compete at a national level. There is no way we could have afforded dresses for them ($3,750) if my father didn't pay for them, or the shoes and wigs that they needed ($700) and even the other grandparents paid for socks and accessories ($125). And they continue to help week in and week out with summer camps and Avon orders, etc. And they do this because money is tight. No one would begrudge my kids because if I'm too tired or stressed out to make dinner and order a pizza from my already small budget.
NGG, good job!

I know it's hard to take on several challenges at one time but I wonder if we can gently persuade you to try-out some of the less intrusive products like gum, cinnamon, herbal cigs etc. to reduce smoking. Is it the nicotine you crave? I'm hoping for baby steps so that you aren't over whelmed. We know you can meet your goals once you set your mind to do it!
