Fell Off the Wagon

July 22nd, 2011 at 03:48 pm

I screwed up yesterday. I let myself get too hungry while running errands after work. I always make bad decisions when I am hungry. So I did make a bad decision. I stopped and got something to eat. But the joke was on me. The sandwich wasn't that good and the fries were just mildly warm. Serves me right. I took DD to Arby's this morning for breakfast as a treat because she is starting cheer camp today. She was really nervous. And then tonight I am meeting my sister who is in town for dinner at Zaxby's for a good salad.

We have water again. Turns out that the hose on the back of the house was left on and the pressure built up(has a nozzle on the end of it). It eventually popped. So the hose had been running all day. No telling what my water bill is going to be. But thankful it isn't a leak between the meter and the house like I was afraid it would be.

I got the check fur July's rent from the community action place. Now just to worry about August rent and the rest of June's rent. They still owe $305 for June's rent.

EX-DH is putting $50 into my account today. That means he still owes me about $110. Maybe I will get some more of it next week. Slowly but surely he is getting it paid.

Eating fast food all the time is not only bad for your wallet, it is bad for your health. Try keeping some snacks in the car, little packages of wheat thins or granola bars. Or keep some snacks at work and have one before leaving, if you know you have errands to run. You can likely keep healthier snacks at work such as fresh fruit or string cheese sticks. Better for your budget and better for YOU.

Hi No. G, I'm glad that you found your water problem. Speaking of Zaxby's , my son is in Navy, JAX, is his base, and he loves Zaxbys. he tries to liit going there to once a week, or less.. He says the chicken is really good. Just now, though he is deployed overseas. He's probably dying to go to Zaxbys. hope that you get the rent money soon. Is the husband employed? I enjoy your blog.

Glad you figured out your water problem and that it wasn't has bad as you anticipated.

As for falling off the wagon, no one is perfect. I think Petunia's idea of keeping some snacky stuff on hand might be a great idea and probably far better than lukewarm fries.
