Back on Track

July 19th, 2011 at 06:57 pm

Today is day one of no eating out. I temporarily fell off the wagon but am back sitting pretty today.

I have looked at my budget for the next month and made necessary adjustments. As long as the renters give me what they should, I am looking pretty good. I am sure I will have to make some subtle changes, but everythiing should work out.

DS decided she wanted to play soccer this year. I am scared to death because she hasn't played in years and the age that she plays is when the pushing and almost violent playing starts. She just isn't used to that. Hopefully she will figure it out. Sent the check for her to register today. Boy it has gone up since she first played. $45. Wasn't expecting that. And we will have cleats and shin guards to buy. Need to adjust the budget again.

Great job getting back on track.

I would suggest looking for cleats and shin guards at garage sales, ask her friends that play, or find a used sports store. Try not to buy new!!

That is a scary time in soccer. I remember there was one coach in our league who was actually teaching his girls to snake their legs around the opposing team members and pull their ankles out from under them so they'd fall. That's about the time I took my daughter out.

Have you made a decision on the Dr. Pepper? I think you mentioned cutting back to every other day or buying cans...

There is a place here in Blairsville that sells used sporting equipment. I'd buy the cleats new but the shin guards I'd buy used and save a bit of money

LR...that is terrible! I would have pulled my daughter out too!! DD has decided to do cheerleading instead of soccer and then do soccer in the spring.

I keep meaning to get a diet dr pepper from the store to see if I can tolerate it and I keep forgetting. if I can tolerate it than I will buy a 12 pack and keep it here at work.
