IT'S FRIDAY!!!!

July 23rd, 2010 at 03:45 pm

I am so glad! Don't think I could come in here another day this week!

I stopped at the bank this morning to get my cash for the next week. I don't think I am going to have enough gas money, with the extra driving I am going to have to do. I will fill up in Calhoun again tonight, since the gas there is 15 cents cheaper per gallon. I had $27 extra last week, but I didn't do as much driving and I started with more in the gas fund. HOpefully there will be enough to get me through until next Friday.

I also am not sure about the spending money. I only $25 to get me through until friday. I know we need milk, but I don't know of anything else we will need. But things always pop up. So wish me luck.

A few days ago when you mentioned your gasoline budget, I winced. Things must be far apart where you live. Is your driving mostly for work? Getting kids to daycare/sitter and their own activities? For shopping and appointments?

Everything is VERY far apart where I live. I work in the next town over which is 17 miles from home. Sometimes I have to make 2 trips in order to pick my son up and get him to school, which is in the same town I work in, or to pick my daughter up from cheer. Once a week, I drive my daughter to cheer practice 45 miles away. This week though, I have had to take her 3 times for special practices. Doesn't help that I drive a big suv...ford explorer. When I purchased it I didn't have to drive near as much as I do now!

Ouch! Well, on the good side, at least gas is less expensive in the States than it is over here. It's almost twice as much in Europe, and even more in some places... which leads to us not having a car right now! We couldn't afford the gas and insurance and registration (higher for foreigners) as it is, but everything is much closer together over here. Will your DD's special practices continue for much longer? That's a lot of driving.

The special practices are only this week. Thank Goodness!! I forgot to mention that I used to live 10 miles outside of town but since I have moved I have saving at least 20 miles per day!(10 miles in the morning and 10 miles in the evening.)
