Self Hating Day

July 20th, 2010 at 05:08 pm

I am in a delf hating mood today. I stopped and got breakfast, even though I have bagels and cream cheese here. How sad is it that the lady at Burger King noticed that I had my hair cut?? That should be a clue that I go there too often!! I don't get to transfer any money since I stopped for breakfast. *sigh* Now I am felling sick.

Today is my "late day" at work. I come in later and work later. Good thing. The kids had eye appointments this morning. I had to stop to get my hair fixed(was uneven) and I had to pick up DS computer from the repair shop. I forgot to go to the bank to close the joint checking account. Will have to do that on my lunch sometime. Might have to take my lunch time today and go pick up DS and DD and bring them to Ellijay, DS for school and DD for cheer. It depends on whether my parents get back from Atlanta in time to bring them or not. I won't know until later.

I managed to use all of my spending money last night. I scoured the Kroger in Calhoun for Krispy Kreme donuts and then bought a dozen. Ate a few and then felt guily for eating them and gave them away. Really wish I could get this eating under control. I used to be very critical of people who said they couldn't control something they did...you are supposed to just suck it up and do it/change it...know I seem to understand them a whole lot better.

I filled up my gas tank in Calhoun...gas there is 15 cents cheaper than here. So I should be set on that for a couple of days. I still have $87 in my gas budget for the week. Doubt I will use that much before Friday. Might have to fill up one more time.

Oh yeah...I almost forgot. I made the final payment on the chadwicks card today. It is now paid in full!! At least there is something good today.

Congrats on the Chadwick card!! Hooorrraaayyy!!

Don't know what to tell you about the lapse in eating. Perhaps instead of giving the doughnuts away, you could have popped them in the freezer, even individually put them in baggies and then taken one out each night before you went to bed for consuming in the morning?? Did you ever try buying the Pillsbury and making the cinnamon rolls at home? You could slice them up into smaller pieces and individually freeze them too. I know it is not Burger King (I LOVE their coffee!!), but it is something and then you have portion control to! Try it!! Big Grin

Don't beat yourself up. You've had good days before and that counts for something. Krispe Kreme donuts are addicting. Try to do better tomorrow!

Yay the Chadwicks card is gone! How about you look at buying your breakfast this morning as a celebration of that and let yourself off the hook.
And go do better the rest of the week! Big Grin

Thank you for the positive responses! I know you guys are probably tired of hearing about my cini mini addiction. But it means alot to me that I can be honest about what is going on. LF...Thanks for the suggestion. That sounds like a good way to look at it!

Its a day to move away from, sure. Tomorrow is another day, a fresher one, and hopefully a less self-hating one. And even in that bad day you did make progress so it wasn't a completely bad day.

    Just do better tomorrow!

Tommorow is a new day... I think that everyone has times where they are hard on themselves. And, days where we don't like ourselves... When you are going through days like that it seems like it won't go away... But, the good news is... things changem and they get better... You are obviously trying....which is a good thing....

yeah--no self hating. I think it leads to a self-perpetuating cycle about feeling bad and needing more comfort. At least that's me and my life with salty snacks.
    Cue Annie singing "Tomorrow!"

Get some extra sleep tonight and begin again.
    We're cheering for you.

Something that really helped me with my eating was a free site called 'my fitness pal'...I never thought tracking food was important...but it REALLY helps. You can plan your daily diet so well with this..

If you use the site, our trainer started us with 1600 cals a day... 200 gr carbs, 35gr fat and 100 gr protien...
later we moved to 120 gr carbs, 35 gr fat and 140 or more protien.

The database for foods already tracked is huge..and its very user friendly. Smile Good luck

One of my friends had a morning coffee run addiction. She knew that the coffee itself wasn't bad...it's when you HAVE to have a something every day or you feel out of whack..that it becomes an addiction.

We have coffee at work. It was 'going there' that was the addiction.

Her solution was for each day she went for coffee, she needed twice the money....half for the coffee and half she would give to one of us. It went in a jar to support a charity. It became harder to go when she knew it cost twice as much.

On the days she held strong and drove past the drive-thru, she'd text and one of us would meet her at the door with a coffee from work.

You have to replace one habit for another, so what could be a positive habit you could replace your cinni babit for?
