Sick DD

DD sent me a text from school asking me to come get her. Her throat is killing her and she just generally doesn't feel well. She asked if she could get taco bell since it is smooth and wouldn't hurt her throat. So I spent $2.65 getting her something that she could eat.

I really hope that the wood burning stove sells because I really need the money. The 5th of October pay day is looking pretty grim. Need to make up quite a bit of money. Not sure how I am going to do that if the stove doesn't sell. Keep your fingers crossed.

    I hope your DD feels better soon. I had a scratchy throat last week, likely drainage in my throat. And it is annoying. Fingers crossed over here!

    Aw, hope DD feels better soon. There is nasty stuff going around our school already (strep and sinus infections and one case of pneumonia) Here is hoping that your stove goes soon!

    One of my strategies when things get a little tight is to look at where I can tighten up a little. One of those is usually food and I typically use-it-up strategy where I go through the cupboards and use stuff I already have. I made this recipe last Saturday for probably around $5.00 counting using ham I already had, a bag of beans, and some raw veggies to toss in. It made about 5 lunch servings and is very good.

    No way would ANY solid food feel good if your throat was killing you. Soup (broth) jello and ice cream are the only things that would feel good, NOT Taco Bell.
