I Blew It

September 12th, 2012 at 02:46 pm

This is hard to admit but I have never lied in these posts and I am not going to start now. Sooo...post what you like...I can take it.

I ordered a pizza tonight. I know that I am the one who suggested the whole month of not eating out but I had a weak moment. I had enough money because my mom gave me an even 100 for the doctor and prescriptions that came to $64. The pizza wasn't even as good as I remembered it being.

I will transfer $100 from my savings account to pay my mom back. I hate to take money out of savings but I guess that is what it is there for.

Hey...you have been doing really well. Our family had pizza back on Sept 1, when we had relatives in town, but otherwise all eating in. This is still so much better than eating out everyday!! You are doing fine.

Enjoy your pizza, don't beat yourself up for being human BUT get back on track tomorrow, both for the sake of your health/WW and to protect savings. What would you appreciate as a reward for doing well on your weight loss program and finance plans? Would you find a bubble bath rewarding? pedicure? What less destructive food...lobster tail or quality dark chocolate?

Hey, if we were perfect all of the time, well...it's just not possible! Half the battle is accepting that you've done it, are rectifying it, and are planning for the next time (and there is always a next time.) You're doing great!

you're doing great! one pizza does not a total failure make. Smile i wonder if you should think about planning nights to eat or order out - like once or twice a month so that it becomes a treat to look forward to rather than all or nothing (always eating out without thinking or never eating out). maybe balance would make it more doable and fun for you. just a thought.

There must be something in the air today.

Tomorrow is a new day, just start again Smile

We had pizza last night too, we went out to celebrate DH new contract at work.
MAybe you have been doing too much at one time, with NSDs, no soda and no eating out for the month, maybe it is not realistic. Maybe you just need to slow down a bit and also you need to give yourself some sort of reward once in a while for achieving your goal.

I hope you don't get discourage by this and keep going with your goals. I always like reading when you post a NSD. Definitely cheering for you.

Hey, give yourself a break. You didn't blow it at all. You are among friends and we all have our own weaknesses.

I like the idea of planning treats to enjoy the anticipation.

"Blew it"? Girl, you have gone from eating out every day, usually more than once, to eating out one single time in like a month. You're doing a fabulous job. Smile

I'm with Petunia - you have made fantastic progress. This was an unplanned for slip. It only becomes a blow out if you go back into your old habits/routines.

You know, when I went to the movies last weekend I cheated on my diet by buying popcorn. I thought it was going to be such a treat, but I actually didn't enjoy it much at all. And boy, was it overpriced! That was a good lesson for me -- the anticipation is sometimes better than the reality!

Don't punish yourself for one slipup. Life happens. Perhaps you could buy some frozen pizzas and stick them in your freezer at home for those times when you don't feel like cooking or have a craving? It would probably be cheaper than paying for delivery.
