Tax Refund

February 10th, 2009 at 06:14 pm

Here are my plans for my tax refund. I am getting back $4800 from federal.

Pay January Mortgage $575

Pay February Mortgage $575

To DH for his back taxes $2500

To DS for his car $500

Rest into EF

This will get my mortgage completely caught up! YEA!! With that stress gone, I can start working more on the credit cards.

If you want to increase your paycheck throughout the year, you can make an adjustment to your W4. That way, they will withhold a smaller amount of federal taxes from each paycheck.

Thanks Single! I have already adjusted the with-holding...I increased it for a period of time earlier this year when I thought my DH and I would be filing together. Since we are not, I get the extra back!

CCF - yes it will feel really good to be caught up. First time since I can't remember when that EVERYTHING will be on time!!!
