Meals at Home

June 25th, 2011 at 02:23 am

Tonight was the 4th night in a row that I ate dinner at home. I heated up some tomato sauce, added some pasta, made some garlic bread and called it done. It was yummy. My daughter ordered chinese but paid for it with her own money. She will be gone all day tomorrow so she won't be here to tempt me into eating out.

Great job. One day at time, one meal at a time!!

Super! It gets easier as you think of more things to make. If you are interested in seeing how a gal in New York city spent a whole year not eating out, check out the book, "The Art of Eating In." She talks about how much money she saved and how healthier her meals were.

    Hey there ya go! Smile

Are you a list maker? Start making a list of things you might make. Add to it whenever you think of something. Just thinking regularly of cooking, keeps it in mind so that you are more likely to carry through with it. Find a forum where people talk about frugal recipes. Being part of the crowd and sharing enthusiasm for the specific topic helps.

Click on rob62521's user name and go to her Frugal Foodie blog. Find her recipe for homemade noodles. Mmm...Super mmm! If you can't get them rolled out as thin as you'd like just call them dumplings! Wink
