Boring day At Work

September 7th, 2012 at 04:02 pm

I am the only one here today. One person doesn't work on Friday's(must be nice!) and the other two are apparently working from home today. Makes for a pretty boring day. I will probably end up leaving early.

Today is payday. I had to borrow $100 from my mom to get through the next two weeks. I have two large payments coming out of my account on the 10th...DD health insurance and my student loan payment.

I have had lots of interest in the wood burning fireplace insert that I listed on Craiglist. Hopefully someone will buy it. I haven't heard from the guy who was interested in the clarinet since Wednesday. I really thought he was going to buy it. I am really hoping that something sells. I could really use the money.

I was up at WW last night. .8 of a pound. bummer. Soda was really my downfall this week. Will have to curtail that this coming week.

no eating out: 6/6
nsd: 4/6

I have not done good with food lately, so I think your .8 pound weight loss is awesome!!

I have been the only one at work on Friday the last several weeks, too! Although, today it is me and the junior partner. He plans to leave at noon, so told me I could too. Smile

Enjoy a peaceful, non stressful workday, lucky lady. If you're not busy, create a menu plan and resultant grocery list. Try the trick of not on the 'Buy List' means impulse and that's not allowed since you're smarter than phony marketers that prey on emotions.

Try looking at Dr Oz's diatribe on the bags of sugar that are used in soda. You work against yourself downing oh so bad for you beverages. September is a terrific time to re evaluate what's important to you... your health, the rental house, finances and taking control of the things that matter. Your success depends on you and we're all here ready to cheer each baby step forward

Sodas used to be my downfall as well, Mtn Dew to be specific! Now they are so gross to me, but it took me a long time to get over them. Just keep replacing them with water or unsweetened tea, after a while it will stick.

I will go no soda with you if you'd like. It's one of my bugaboos, too, and I just had my last can today. Going off with someone else will maybe give me the willpower not to buy another case.
