Faltsgraf Dishes

March 2nd, 2011 at 03:03 pm

To kill time yesterday while DD was in cheerleading, I went to the outlet malls to walk around. In the kitchen store, I found a set of Pfaltsgraf dishes for $29. We are in desperate need. We only have 2 bowls and 1 small plate. So I purchased them. I also got a new measuring cup as our old plastic one is getting really hard to read. I had a fry daddy also picked out but decided to wait on that.

When I checked our mail yesterday I found a check from my ExMIL to help with purchasing senior pictures for DS. I was really surprised, but delighted. She is going to try to come for his graduation so I must make sure she gets one of the 8x10 pictures.

That would make meals together as a family difficult, eh?

One can find dishes at garage sales, charity thrift stores, and even antique malls at really super savings. It can be fun to look if you have time.

What pattern do you collect? I see Pfaltzgraf dishes all the time at Goodwill. I collect Johnson Brothers Willow, which I hardly ever see.
