It took a long time in life but I am finally learning to live by a budget. I don't spend money like I used to and rarely shop anymore. I am able to save money and am close to being debt free.
I figured my taxes tonight. If I file like I want, I will get a refund of almost $5000 federal and $400 state. WOW!! I knew it would be a good refund year, but WOW!
Looks like you may have had to much withheld...unless it is EITC. It might help to adjust that for next year. What are your plans with the refund money?
I already don't have very much withheld from my taxes. But i upped my withholding for a few months because I thought we would file jointly and my husband owes back taxes. But since we are not filing jointly, I benefit!
Haven't made definite plans yet except to fully fund my EF.
